With total contributions exceeding RM460,000, MBSB Group demonstrates its unwavering commitment to uplifting underprivileged communities and promoting togetherness during this sacred period.
The Group has allocated RM52,000 for Raya shopping and duit raya distribution for 190 children in Shah Alam, Ipoh, and Kuantan. By providing new festive attire, the Group ensures that these children, many from low-income backgrounds, can share in the joy of Hari Raya. Reflecting MBSB Group’s hands-on support, its Chairman, Dato’ Wan Kamaruzaman, personally took part in the initiative.
To further reinforce its dedication to social welfare, MBSB contributed RM160,000 to 16 charitable organizations that include orphanages, welfare homes, and religious schools. Each institution received RM10,000 to help sustain vital operations and continue serving their local communities.
The Group also pledged RM252,000 to fully sponsor meals for children at Yayasan Chow Kit in two locations which is KL Pad Krash in Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman and the Children’s Centre in Jalan Chow Kit. This commitment extends beyond Ramadan, ensuring consistent and nutritious meals throughout the year for these vulnerable children.
In the spirit of nurturing interfaith understanding among its workforce, MBSB Group introduced “Fast-a-Thon,” inviting non-Muslim employees to voluntarily experience fasting and break fast alongside their Muslim colleagues. This initiative fosters stronger workplace connections and celebrates the essence of unity symbolized by Ramadan.
